Years ago I can remember going on a long work trip, and leaving my packing until late. On arrive in the USA, much to my annoyance, I discovered I’d left a few things in my bathroom cabinet at home, one of which was my mascara. Even for the most natural beauty looks, mascara is often an essential accessory - personally I literally never leave home with out wearing it. Women use mascara for a number of reasons to enhance their eyelashes. For example, some women have eyelashes so light in colour, or thin in texture, that you can't easily see them. However, mascara also makes the eyes look bigger by lengthening and darkening the lashes. Whatever your reasons for wearing mascara, there are plenty of brands and mascara types to choose from, which include those from Ardell Beauty. I got to road test two of its impressive lineup of mascaras in October, starting with Wispies Fibre Building Mascara. This mascara helps to create the look of one of Ardell’s iconic looks, mimicking the result of its best-selling Wispies faux lashes. The fibre building formula has a special hourglass-shaped wand which allows hair-like fibres to attach to lashes to amp up volume, length and dimension. Using it is easy; just sweep the wand upwards and apply to centre, root, tip, or all over lashes! My favourite of the two, however, was Double Up Volumizing Mascara, which replicates the dramatic, double-layered effect of Ardell’s Double Up False Lashes. This mascara offerings significant plumping of the lashes without clumping, and instantly doubles the volume for glamorous lashes which are thick and dense. In an unusual design feature it has two caps. To thicken your lashes, just pull the brush through wide mid cap to upload mascara for double the volume. And for separating lashes, pull the brush trough the narrow wiper top cap to remove excess mascara and clumps.
