Road Test

I have always had a love-hate relationship with concealers, even though I’ve used one as long as I can remember. Besides brightening the under eye area, the main reason I use one, like many women, is to cover up dark circles. I’ve had them since my teens, and everything from late nights, to travel and not following my usual healthy diet tends to make them worse. Over the years I’ve tried many concealers, from supermarket brands to luxury ones, and more often than not I have been disappointed with the results. Many don’t do what they promise, so when you find one which delivers results it’s a real joy. Benefit’s Boi-ing is one. Formerly know as simply Boi-ing, this is a full-coverage concealer which hides all and stays put. Using it is easy, especially to cover dark circles. Firstly make sure your eye area isn’t completely dry, then simply dab some of the creamy formula underneath each eye with a fingertip and gently pat outwards to blend. If you’re covering stubborn blemishes elsewhere on the face, you can use a brush. Use only very little at first, and build up coverage if necessary, making sure you blend properly. Do it right and your concealer, and coverage, will last all day, however, the tube is easy to slip into a handbag for touch ups, especially if you are on the road.

  • It has a soft, matte finish.

Insider Tips

  • Concealer is a great multitasker; you can also use it as a primer for eyelids, to cover a spot, to highlight just below the brows and more.
  • Always apply concealer after foundation for the best results.
