Road Test

Admittedly it is winter in Australia, but I know plenty of women who still use a bronzer even in the cooler months. What if you are planning to escape the chilly weather and head off somewhere exotic and fabulous? Or perhaps you just enjoy perking your skin up in winter with a light, sun kissed look? One to check out before summer comes this year is Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer, a matte powder bronzer for the face which comes in four shades, two of which are new, and a mini size ideal for travelling! I hadn’t used this bronzer before, and was send one each of the new shades to road test, Hoola Caramel, which is a medium–deep bronzer, and Hoola Toasted, a deep bronzer. Both are more suited to darker skins or being used in the depths of summer, however, here’s what I discovered. Both shades are soft in texture and easy to blend, so you can sweep either onto your face to create a natural-looking bronze. Also the cute, square compact comes complete with a built-in mirror and a tiny powder brush for easy application when you are on the move. Just a light sweep makes your complexion look sunkissed and more "alive" in the winter and it doesn’t looks fake.

Beauty In Travel Loves

  • The cool packaging.
  • This pigmented powder allows you to build up coverage on your face if desired.
  • The mini size is ideal for travel, or for slipping into your purse on a long day out.
  • It blends easily.

Insider Tips

  • To achieve a natural-looking contour, use a deeper shade of Hoola bronzer.
  • If you really want to cut back on the cosmetics you take on the road, you can use this bronzer as an eyeshadow, either alone, with eyeliner or as a base colour.
  • Invest in a kabuki brush or bronzer brush for a better finish.

    Young Brand But Good

Posted by Shaz on 8th Jul 2019

I always thought Benefit was a millennial brand but a friend gave me a mascara as part of a birthday present and I was pleasently surprised. This bronzer sounds good and I like that it's small...I doubt I would use it much except for going out but it would be worth a try.

Wow that bronzer in the pic looks very dark, and it wouldn't be at all natural!
