Road Test
I started using facial serums such a long time ago I can’t remember exactly when. It was likely in my late 30s, after moving from Europe to Australia, and writing about beauty and skin health, when I realised that the three-step program for skin care - cleanse, tone and moisturise - wasn’t enough to cope with either ageing or our rugged climate. Although there are always two staples in my regime, vitamin C and vitamin A, I always have an additional serum on hand ideally aimed at general skin health. The all-natural beauty brand, Biologi, has launched a new Bd Luminosity Face Serum which is not only ideal for daily use, but also for travellers for a variety of reasons. It comes in a small, lightweight, travel-friendly pump container, but it’s also packed with vitamins and antioxidants aimed at leaving the skin looking refreshed, radiant and luminous after use. The key to great looking skin where this serum is concerned is Davidson Plum, an all-Australian ingredient which increases skin strength and hydration, while also offering protection from the environment and decreasing the appearance of skin blemishes including sun spots. And over time, as you use it, as I discovered, your skin will simply look better and healthier. If you’re new to Biology, its products are super kind to the skin as well as being effective. They’re made from 100 per cent organic plant extracts, using a groundbreaking extraction process which makes the serum fully active, and nutrients in the formula stable over time. There are two other serums in the lineup worth considering including Bk Rejuvenation Eye Serum, which I will be reviewing in the next few weeks, and Bf Hydration Body Serum which has already been put through its paces.
Beauty In Travel Loves
- The serum has a mild, sweet aroma, and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth.
- A little goes a long way, so don’t be tempted to use to much.
- You don’t need to use a moisturiser afterwards, which is great for travellers.
- Give it just a couple of weeks and your skin will look better.
Insider Tips
- The serum takes a little while to melt into the skin so don’t be in a hurry when you use it.
- Even natural ingredients can cause problems for some skins, especially at high concentrations, so if you’re sensitive, introduce the serum slowly.
