The Product: Cygnett ChargeUp Digital 6,000.
Best For: People who are on the road and need extra power for a smart phone or tablet.
Three Things We Loved: The slick design, the compact size, the speed of charging.
Road Test:
The market is flooded with portable power banks and chargers today, making it hard for consumers to judge one product from another. When it comes to the new Cygnett ChargeUp Digital 6,000, however, this is a product which ticks all the boxes, from looking good to delivering what it promises power-wise. The charger is one of a range of four new products by Cygnett designed to suit different needs. A key attraction of the 6,000 model is that it features the latest in Lithium polymer battery technology, offering power at your fingertips right when you need it. It’s also ideal for anyone on the go, especially if you’re travelling for business or pleasure, thanks to its slimline, compact design. The power bank is easy to slip into a laptop bag, carry on, backpack, or handbag, and it comes fully pre-charged when you purchase it, meaning you can use it right away, with up to 3-4 phone charges in hand before the it needs to be recharged.
In terms of features, the ChargeUp has a capacity of 6,000 mAh, 2 USB ports, and it’s 127 x 71 x 12 mm size wise. The design is simple and elegant, as well as well built, with softly curved edges which make it comfortable to hold. At the top of the charger is a glossy black area with the digital display, where you can easily see how much power you have left before a unit recharge is due, also a power button, and the two ports. It comes with a handy short micro USB cable which you can use to both charge the power bank and your device, and it comes in a range of colours including blue and red, highlighted by the power button and a stripe on the side. The ChargeUp 6,000 can be used to power any device that uses a USB connection to charge. It charges quickly, and it can handle two devices at once including smartphones, a GoPro, portable speakers, or a Fitbit or Apple Watch. What’s not to love about that?
The Verdict:
I loved this power bank for a variety of reasons, including its lightweight and slim design, but also that it charges two devices at once, which is very handy for travellers. The display makes it super easy to know when the ChargeUp needs recharging, and when it comes to the speed of charging devices including an iPhone, it delivers power quickly and easily. If you’re on the go, this is a must-have power bank to add to your gadget list.
We loved this charger so much that have one to give away in blue to a lucky winner in one of our latest holiday competitions. For more information or to enter, head over to the competition page.
