Road Test
Whether it’s the climate you live in, your hormones, your age or something else, dry skin appears to be a growing problem among women. I’ve always had a tendency towards dry skin which has become more significant as I’ve got older, and often when I travel, thanks to long haul flights and changes in climate. Besides nourishing my skin properly with a great moisturiser, I find that using gentle cream cleanser also helps not to aggravate the problem, and thanks to this new duo from Dermalogica, launched in February 2019, you can work towards fixing the problem of dry skin using these two simple steps. Intensive Moisture Cleanser is emollient and lipid rich, which means it cleanses the skin thoroughly without leaving it feeling tight or dry. The formula contains BioReplenish Complex, combined with coconut and murumuru seed butter, both of which protect the skin’s barrier, while extracts of citrus, balancing palmarosa, and jasmine boost tired skin. This cleanser is great as it feels like it deep cleans but leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth. The companion product is Intensive Moisture Balance. It also contains BioReplenish Complex, along with host of effective goodies including a prebiotic chlorella algae complex which helps to rebalance the skin. Add to that a lineup of skin loving nutrients including hyaluronic acid, echinacea, and aloe vera, and hydration is locked in to keep the skin moisturised while also reducing the appearance of fine lines. It’s still full on summer in southeastern Queensland, but using air conditioning at night was leaving my skin feeling dryer than normal at this time of year. After using this lovely moisturiser, however, is resolved any dry patches and flakiness around my nose and left my skin looking great in the morning.
Beauty In Travel Loves
- The cleanser removes everything from sunscreen to makeup without leaving the skin feeling tight or dry.
- The moisturiser is rich but melts in easily and doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily.
- The moisturiser is also fragrance free, which makes it gentle and non irritating.
Insider Tips
- The cleanser is great value for money but the container is quite big for travelling, so put some into a smaller pump dispenser when you hit the road.
