Road Test
Glamourflage has come up with an impressive lineup of products in its new Darling Jodie Nourishing range, which cover all the basics when it comes to skin care, and tackling environmental conditions including air conditioning and heating. The range includes a Foaming Cleanser, Toner, Essence, skin Lotion, skin Cream and an Eye Cream, each one containing enriching ingredients from macadamia oil to vitamin E. I got to road test three of them, each one notching up plenty of ticks in the “for” box, for a variety of reasons. First up is the Nourishing Essence, which is enriched with macadamia and jojoba oils to nourish and replenish nutrients to the skin, while also helping to lock in water and smooth out the skin. Used once or twice a day after cleansing and toning, it has a lovely, light formula which melts into the skin easily, giving you a soft, smooth canvas to moisturise. Speaking of which, the Nourishing Lotion is great value for money coming in a 95ml pump tube, and also contains macadamia oil along with shea butter to deeply nourish and moisturise, or repair rough and dry skin, leaving your complexion feeling smooth and supple. Lighter than a cream, it can also be used twice daily after cleansing, toning, and an application of Essence. Massage in well, and you’ll find it soaks into the skin ready for makeup, or bed. And finally, the Nourishing Eye Cream contains macadamia oil and palmitoyl oligopeptide, both of which nourish the delicate skin around the eye area as well as reducing fine lines. It penetrates the skin easily, leaving it looking hydrated and plump. All three products have a lovely, light fragrance and are ideal for day and night use, which means less products to carry in your luggage to achieve hydrated, smooth skin.
