Road Test
If you haven’t heard of HERBS+HEART, it’s a handcrafted skincare brand using premium ingredients in Australia, offering a boutique lineup of top notch skin care products which are 100 per cent natural and earth conscious. There’s no testing on animals, no chemicals involved, and as I discovered with the amazing Face Mud I reviewed earlier this year, promises are also honoured. So I was more than happy to put another couple of HERBS+HEART products to the test recently; Elixir, a serum packed with nourishing antioxidants, and Aloe Whip, a power packed, whipped moisturiser. Elixir is a light serum designed to pep up dull or stressed skin. It has a lovely texture which melts into the skin, and you can use it in the morning before adding hydration or makeup. Key ingredients include the potent antioxidant, green coffee bean, also the rich aroma of jasmine, which also hydrates and evens skin tone, and essential fatty acids and antioxidant carotenoids from avocados. And finally a high dose of vitamin C which is a skin firmer and booster. Aloe Whip is a silky moisturiser which glides on with easy, and contains a potent combination of aloe vera, camellia and oats, delivering a lineup of vitamins to keep skin looking great. Camellia is a go-to ingredient for the Japanese who use it to keep their complexions flawless, while the oats are not only responsible for the cream’s lovely aroma, but they also fortify the skin’c barrier, helping to seal in moisture and keep skin looking nourished and youthful.
