Road Test
I’ve written a number of blogs about June Jacobs skin care products, and if you’re keen to discover another must-have from her gorgeous range, this is one. Rapid Repair Healing Cream is a clinically-tested skin treatment which can be used on the face or body to help soothe irritation and provide moisturisation up to 24-hours. A key ingredient in the formula is a concentrated complex from the Swiss Alps called edelweiss extract; it’s a rare flower known as the “survival star” as it is believed to withstand extreme climate conditions. Also in the complex is imperatoria extract, a wildflower known for its anti-inflammatory properties, and which helps to make the skin more resilient to external stresses. Other key ingredients include allantoin and dimethicone, both of which create a lasting protective barrier to lock in vital moisture and nutrients to prevent skin dryness, while shea butter works in harmony to restore softness. There are plenty of anti-ageing benefits in Rapid Repair Healing Cream too, including a lineup of antioxidants, and oleic and linoleic acids to smooth the skin’s texture and make it look more youthful. I tested the cream at the beginning of winter on dry elbows, and a small skin crack on my foot from stepping on a shell on the beach, which was proving tricky to heal. The cream was gentle, soothing and effective, and it absorbed quickly to leave my skin soft without being greasy. Sometime later I used it on my face after a long beach walk in very dry, windy weather, when my skin felt pinched, and the result was the same - it works. As a frequent traveller, and given it’s multitude of uses, Rapid Repair Healing Cream has earned a key spot in both my beauty and medicine cabinets.
