It's true. We never travel anywhere from home without having a device to play music on, and if necessary, something to hear it through. Even our car has its own iPod. Oddly enough the majority of the speakers we own for travel - and we have various types - are from Logitech, and this is a new one we're keen to add to our collection.
The Logitech UE Boom Wireless Speaker is ideal for music lovers on the move. For one, it features a 360 degree speaker design enveloped in durable water and stain resistant skin, which is great if you like to listen to music on boats or on the beach. It also has speakerphone capabilities, thanks to the Bluetooth operation, and a rechargeable battery which can deliver your favourite tunes for up to 15 hours - that's plenty of time in one hit, even for us. Weighing just 950g it isn't an entirely light device, but what you gain in weight you definitely make up for in terms of sound quality. The sound is reasonably rich, and you can crank the volume up if you need to without too much distortion.
A key thing for travellers apart from weight is size; The Boom Speaker's dimensions are 25.5 x 10.3 x 10.3 centimetres, so it won't take up much space in your suitcase. It's shaped like a large energy drink, and comes in different colours so you can coordinate your look with whatever device you're using. Besides its size, it's also a breeze to use, allowing you music at the touch of a button wherever you are in the world. There are volume controls on the speaker, but like most people we tended to use our device to alter the sound; in our case an iPhone.
Coming in a variety of colours including red and green, this is a great portable speaker for anyone who wants good sound and ease of use. And if you're really feeling adventurous, you can buy two and pair both to your device using the UE Boom App for ultimate sound!
