We’ve had a pretty balmy autumn so far here in southeast Queensland, including some low humidity days, which for some people, myself included, can mean the start of lip problems including dryness. But as many travellers discover, it’s not just low humidity and cooler weather which cause problems; heat, strong winds, and sun exposure are also culprits. • To keep your lips in tip top shape you can exfoliate them once or twice a week to remove any dead skin. One way to do this is apply a thick layer of lip balm to your lips, and brush using a clean toothbrush and circular motions. Alternatively you can mix honey with sugar, massage into your lips, leave for a few minutes and remove with a face cloth.
