Overview:

Towering over the Gold Coast at an impressive 32 levels high, the Meriton Suites Broadbeach is located in the heart of the waterfront community of Broadbeach, and is a luxury accommodation within easy striking distance of all that the Gold Coast has to offer. It’s a resort style property made up of two towers and even though it’s technically a serviced apartment setup, it has the feel of a boutique hotel - albeit a rather big one. 

The Accommodation:

The 405 newly refurbished suites are effectively luxury apartments with benefits of cooking and washing facilities, and balconies; you can choose between views of the sparkling ocean blue water, or the scenic hinterlands. Meriton claims that its suites are up to three times larger and promise better value than the typical hotel room, with two and three-bedroom suites fitted with a full second bathroom for added convenience. Also featuring stylish and sophisticated furnishings, open plan living spaces and the necessary facilities, including an internal laundry. The suites are divided into seven categories ranging from a studio through to three bedrooms, and have either ocean views or district views.  

Where We Stayed:

Our one bedroom studio was located on the 29th floor with an ocean view stretching from Main Beach in the north, to Coolangatta in the south. Living up to the claim it was generous size at 70 square metres, and featured a separate bathroom with a full sized tub, and a separate laundry which includes clothes washer, dryer, iron and ironing board making it ideal for longer stays. The rest of the apartment was open plan with a living area, dining area and kitchen, and a balcony which ran between the living area and bedroom. The decor was ultra modern with a palette of earth tones include biscuit, cream and soft greys, and facilities including complimentary Wi-Fi and flat screen televisions.

What Else Is There:

The property doesn’t have any restaurants or bars, but it does have a full lineup of resort style facilities with both an indoor and outdoor lap pool, spa, sauna and a well-equipped gymnasium. Stroll around lush, green, tropical-themed garden beds, host your own Aussie BBQ in our barbecue area or soak up the sun by the poolside sundeck, with your favourite read and coffee from the onsite coffee cart in hand. For dining options, Broadbeach Mall which has plenty of eateries and cafes and bars, and for shopping, the newly refurbished Pacific Fair is located just across the Gold Coast Highway. And to travel further afield you can ride the G-Link north to Surfers Paradise and Southport. The property has a 24 hour reception/security and tours can also be booked at the front desk. 

The Verdict:

Meriton Suites Broadbeach is in a great location with all the trappings of a luxury hotel. If you want fabulous views, and flexible accommodation, it is hard to beat.
