The only thing I have ever owned from Miu Miu is a simple yet elegant pair of sunglasses, so when I heard about it’s new fragrance, and what it embodied, I was keen to try it out. Miu Miu is an Italian high fashion women's clothing and accessory brand owned by the legendary Prada, headed by Miuccia Prada and headquartered in Milan. The company made its first foray into fragrance in 2015 with the self titled Miu Miu Eau De Parfum, a fresh floral which was youthful, colourful, sophisticated, and unique. Four years on, this new fragrance undoubtedly has seen the spirit of the modern Miu Miu woman evolve - and with a twist. Starting with the bottle, it is beautifully styled and described by Miu Miu as a “twisted take on the brand’s signature matelassé material”, which for anyone who's not up on fabric design, is a weaving-stitching technique which makes fabrics appear quilted. Ultimately it combines modern art and flamboyant boudoir elegance, with features including a gold Miu Miu banded collar under the cap, and a studded glass base. Inside this gorgeous piece of art is a fragrance which is truly fruity, fresh and fun, created by the master perfumer, Daniela Andrier, along with the Miu Miu boss. After spritzing, you first are enchanted by Vert de Bergamot and Apple Blossom, which gives way to a full base of Cedar Wood, along with an exclusive new Accord, the Pink Amber, created by Andrier to be reminiscent of burnt sugar cane cutting through crisp air. The face of the Miu Miu Twist campaign is the gorgeous American actress and fashion model, Elle Fanning, who played the fated heroine in Maleficent, and is famous for her fresh face, no-nonsense attitude, and a go-go-go personality.
