Obagi 360 Exfoliating Cleanser is a new addition to the lineup of this quality anti-ageing skin care brand, and while it admittedly comes with a expensive price tag, the good news is that it does what it promises.

  • What Is It: A power-packed exfoliating cleanser.
  • Why buy: Ideal for travellers, it really deep cleanses the skin and also exfoliates.
  • The Details: Obagi 360 Exfoliation Cleanser costs rrp $49.95, available from selected beauty salons, medi-spas, and cosmetic clinics nationally, www.obagi.net.au

Road Test

This lovely luxury cleanser exfoliates away dead skin and other pore-clogging impurities to reveal cleaner, softer skin using a combination of both chemical and physical exfoliants, and with continued use it can help to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and reduce hyperpigmentation. Two of the key ingredients are Panthenol, which soothes the skin and prevents inflammation, and Polylactic Acid, an exfoliating agent which sloughs away pore-clogging impurities and dead skin. To use, massage an even layer of the cleanser to wet skin, massage in using small circular motions with your fingertips, then rinse away residue with warm water and pat skin dry. This is a product which may not be ideal for very sensitive skins, as the deep cleansing action can leave your skin feeling a little tight as well as squeaky clean, and if you have dry skin you could add it to your regime once or twice a week. As ever, always follow up with a serum and moisturiser (I’ll be reviewing Obagi 360 Retinol soon) and if you use it the morning, protect your skin with an SPF product of at least 30.

Beauty In Travel Loves

  • It is a great deep cleanser which can remove everything from sunscreen and makeup to hidden impurities in the skin.
  • It’s two steps in one for travellers - a cleanser and exfoliator.

Insider Tips

  • Skip your regular exfoliator, and use this cleanser before giving yourself a home facial to prep your skin for hydrating products such as a masque, serum and moisturiser.
