Sailing out of Sydney Harbour on a cruise ship is one of those things you have to do at least once in your life and we had the spectacle of the city by night for this one. The 11pm departure meant the harbour was relatively free of maritime traffic and it was a surreal experience gliding under the Harbour Bridge from our berth at Wharf 5.

Then it was the Opera House and the twinkly lights of the inner eastern suburbs before heading out through  Sydney Heads to begin this cruise properly. Thankfully this was a slow sailout as well so everyone could take it all in and it took the best part of an hour to get out into open ocean.

This is segment 3 of the Regent Seven Seas Voyager World Cruise from Sydney to Beijing over a total of 26 days and we're due into our next port Brisbane, and then it's onto Townsville, Cairns, Thursday Island, Darwin, Bali, Sandakan in Borneo, Manila, Keelung for Taipei, Incheon for Seoul and then to Tianjin for Beijing.

The Voyager looks like she's been spruced up as well and is looking pretty good .. we'll post a bit more about the ship itself a little later.

We're here to offer you holiday competitions and other free stuff to win as the only competition magazine in Australia.
