Road Test

As I’ve mentioned before I don’t sunbathe due to having had a skin cancer, so in order to enjoy a healthy glow I’ve used countless self-tanning products. Fortunately, today there are more options than ever before to choose from, many of which give you a natural colour as well as smelling much better than they used to. And as mentioned in my two previous blogs, I’ve recently discovered a new self tanning range called Tanologist, created by the make-up artist, beauty influencer and ultimate 'TANOLOGIST', Lottie Tomlinson. Tanologist is the world’s first vegan self tanning brand to be tested and approved by dermatologists with perks including it can be used by people with sensitive skins and it won’t clog pores. I was sent four products to try, including Gradual Tan Lotion, which is akin to a hydrating and tanning body moisturiser. According to Tanologist, its self tanners have a unique transparent formula which means they won’t transfer onto your clothes or sheets, while also not drying out your skin. There are also plenty of tanning colours and formula options. Gradual Tan Lotion is a one-colour-suits-all product, and due to its lovely moisturising qualities, I decided to road test this product on my body after the tan from one of the other products had faded. Using it at night after showering, applying the lotion was quick, easy and mess free. It also smelled lightly of eucalyptus, which I like, and it dried fast leaving my skin looking silky smooth, soft and hydrated thanks to nourishing ingredients including pink grapefruit, goji berry and juniper. A gradual tanner, the colour took a while to develop and was more of a healthy glow than a tan at first, but it’s also a product you can use daily to build. And like all Tanologist products, the colour is designed to last up to a week, and fade like a real tan.

Insider Tips

  • To make this tan last longer, limit the time you spend in water, avoid waxing, scrubbing or rubbing your skin, and don’t be tempted to use saunas or steam rooms, or exfoliate too often.

Great idea as you can use every day and build a tan slowly....there shouldn't be any mistakes either hahahaha
