On Location
After a morning yoga class with Nancy, I make my way to Asaya for an energy session with Wellness Practitioner, Steve Harvey. We sit in one of the beautifully designed outdoor lounges in the spa, a haven of serenity. During my session multiple healing modalities including Reiki were applied to release any blocks I had subconsciously carried with me. This energy session was truly unique, I left feeling uplifted with a renewed sense of inner peace. Steve has a reputation for intuitive healing which offers an opportunity for life changing transformation that helps one unlock their potential and achieve unlimited possibilities. Working with celebrities such as Demi Moore and Donna Karen, guests travel from afar to experience his extraordinary gift. Steve joined me at the main restaurant for lunch where we were warmly greeted by Italian Head Chef Luca, a man full of charisma and passion for his craft who explained the menus in detail and offered recommendations. I try the Raw Almond Cups filled with a creamy almond lemon ricotta, meticulously prepared and artfully plated served with freshly shaved fennel and dill, full of flavour and crunch. Dessert was even better, a light, yet decadent pretty Coconut Panacotta with strawberries, for a hint of sweetness, it made for an ideal hot weather dessert and a feast for the senses. After a delicious lunch I return to the Spa to meet Molly, my therapist, and sample the luxe range of aroma oils for my “Like a Fertile Land” treatment, which is highly regarded as one of the best experiences at Asaya. The treatment room is filled with an abundance of natural light, a private garden and watsu pool, evoking a “sense of place.” The sumptuous deep tissue massage incorporates a delicious fragrant broom flower and honey scented warm oil on the skin to relieve muscle tension, enhance circulation for detoxification. After an hour spent here it’s easy to let go of your stress and sink in to the soothing energy that makes this place so special.
